The law protects the relationship between a client and a psychotherapist, and information cannot be disclosed without written permission. After setting up the initial appointment, informed consent and the necessary documentation to protect your privacy will be emailed in order for you to complete. Sometimes this information can seem overwhelming and I am there to assist you through this process the entire way.
Under the federal No Surprises Act, individuals who do not have health insurance or who choose not to use their health insurance to pay for services have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of their care.
If you are a self-pay or uninsured client, Christina’s Couch Mental Health Counseling will provide you with a Good Faith Estimate of the expected charges for scheduled psychotherapy services upon request or as required by law.
Because the frequency and duration of psychotherapy are individualized and may change based on your clinical needs, the Good Faith Estimate is an estimate and does not require you to receive a specific number of sessions or continue treatment for any particular length of time.
You may ask your clinician or our office for a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling services or at any time during treatment.
For questions about your Good Faith Estimate or self-pay fees, please contact Christina’s Couch Mental Health Counseling.
